About Online Car Insurance in Australia

Getting Online Car Insurance in Australia is nowhere near what it is in the UK and US markets. Over there you have all the major insurance companies and underwriters allowing online aggregators to act like a broker between them and consumer. But where are the car insurance comparison websites in Australia? Currently they only offer 1 underwriter and that is comparing apples with apples.

Over the last 5 years in Australia, competition through comparison websites has come online for a range of products including travel insurance, health insurance, gas/electricity prices, home loans and credit cards. So why hasn’t the car comparison market opened up! The answer is because none of the general insurance heavy weights want to jump on board and support car insurance comparison websites.

German Grand Prix at Hockenheim Review

At the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso was faster than Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel in both Q1 and Q2 qualifying, and again after the first runs in Q3, but on his last run Vettel managed to get though in 1m 13.791s. while Alonso was just two thousandths of a second slower, on 1m 13.793s.

Unfortunately for Red Bull’s Mark Webber, he made a mistake in the first sector of his final run, he was just beaten by Felipe Massa in the second Ferrari, who will start third after a lap of 1m 14.290s. Webber is fourth on 1m 14.347s.

The McLarens shared row three, with Jenson Button getting the better of Lewis Hamilton on their final runs. Jenson Button improved to 1m 14.427s, while Hamilton got through on 1m 14.566s.

It was always likely that Alonso, Massa and Vettel would scrap it out at the first corner (Massa could get a better start due to

How Good is Vettel?

Some people say Vettel is a great driver but I just can’t agree that Vettel has proven himself to be anything more than average. He has a super fast car and nearly always has as he never had to go through the torture of driving 2nd rates cars in the early part of their career like most drivers had to. Just because he jumped straight into a Red Bull after a short stint and a  win in a Torro Rosso in Wet weather and safety cars. Last week he only passed slow cars AFTER a safety car otherwise he was going so slow Webber & Hamilton nearly lapped him. We also don’t know what has really been going on at RBR, has he been getting all the first pick parts for his car ahead of Webber?

New Brakes arrive for the cars, after getting both sets check by the team mechanics they come to the conclusion that set A has slightly better whatever than Set B. Guess who gets Set A on
