I would like to buy a hatchback type car and I have a maximum of $20,000 but I would prefer $18,000 or less.
Most of the cars in this category are noted on the New Car’s Under $20,000 in 2011 Roundup.
So these are possible options:
Nissan Tiida ST Hatchback
Hyundai Getz Hatchback
Mitsubishi Colt VR-X Hatchback
Suzuki Alto GLX five-speed manual
Nissan Micra ST
Holden Barina Hatchback
VOLKSWAGEN POLO TRENDLINE
TOYOTA YARIS YRS
Peugeot, 207 1.4 XR
Citroën C3
Mazda2 Neo
Ford Fiesta
Honda Jazz
if you know of other ideas please post.
I will be using the car around the city suburbs each day, but not very busy areas. I would prefer a European brand and place of build and a sports look, I’m single male with lots of driving experience so would like something that is not going to crawl on hills etc too and that I can drive. I don’t looking toy like cars like Micro etc. I do like the Volkswagen styling and the Polo is one on my short list.
I have thought about 2nd hand but for a couple of extra thousand it seems more worthwhile to go for completely new for once. Something I can take care of myself and have it serviced and looked after for many years. Which is why I’m leaning towards a European car or maybe something reliable like a Toyota. Some of the 2010 cars that are ex demo etc with hardly any kms are worth considering too.
