Webbers Dodgy Test Cart

Red Bull’s Mark Webber really does seem to have been given the worst possible car this year. I can imagine that when new parts come in that Vettels mechanics and engineers get to look over them carefully and select all of the best ones and anything left over goes on the dodgy test cart.

I feel sorry for webber, as much as Vettel is a good driver, it must be hard for Mark to have to deal with what he has being dished up by his team and have to hear all of the applause and cheering for his team mate week after week, while the press and fans are hounding Vettel and it’s all about him, poor Webber is like the stray pet that no one cares about. While he has had the worst possible start to the year Vettel has had the perfect start and everything is made to work for him as it was last year but now it’s even more apparent.

German Grand Prix at Hockenheim Review

At the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso was faster than Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel in both Q1 and Q2 qualifying, and again after the first runs in Q3, but on his last run Vettel managed to get though in 1m 13.791s. while Alonso was just two thousandths of a second slower, on 1m 13.793s.

Unfortunately for Red Bull’s Mark Webber, he made a mistake in the first sector of his final run, he was just beaten by Felipe Massa in the second Ferrari, who will start third after a lap of 1m 14.290s. Webber is fourth on 1m 14.347s.

The McLarens shared row three, with Jenson Button getting the better of Lewis Hamilton on their final runs. Jenson Button improved to 1m 14.427s, while Hamilton got through on 1m 14.566s.

It was always likely that Alonso, Massa and Vettel would scrap it out at the first corner (Massa could get a better start due to

How Good is Vettel?

Some people say Vettel is a great driver but I just can’t agree that Vettel has proven himself to be anything more than average. He has a super fast car and nearly always has as he never had to go through the torture of driving 2nd rates cars in the early part of their career like most drivers had to. Just because he jumped straight into a Red Bull after a short stint and a  win in a Torro Rosso in Wet weather and safety cars. Last week he only passed slow cars AFTER a safety car otherwise he was going so slow Webber & Hamilton nearly lapped him. We also don’t know what has really been going on at RBR, has he been getting all the first pick parts for his car ahead of Webber?

New Brakes arrive for the cars, after getting both sets check by the team mechanics they come to the conclusion that set A has slightly better whatever than Set B. Guess who gets Set A on

Give Schumacher a Chance

I was never a much of a Schumacher fan, didn’t like his arrogant off track attitude but could appreciate his driving skill. I think him coming back to the sport was great. I wish people would stop been so critical of his performance in his comeback, it just goes to show how critical people are in the comfort off their armchairs.

michael schumacherI would love to see Schumacher bust open the back door at one of his critics homes, pull them out of his computer seat and have his pit crew carry him out into a road that has been blocked off for a F1 car sprint. Then they put him in an F1 car and see how fast they are. I’m sure 99% of the computer geeks putting him down would
